The true artists on every construction project are the skilled tradespeople who turn drawings and ideas into something real—and many of them have left their mark on this beam at Pro Deo. 🏗️

To the steel crews, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, HVAC professionals, equipment operators, installers and every skilled laborer working on this project: thank you. Your signatures belong on this beam because your knowledge, craftsmanship, precision and hard work are what make this building possible. The work happening on site—often in the heat, cold, dust and noise—deserves to be seen, valued and celebrated.

From planning and engineering to coordination, scheduling and problem-solving, this project represents the efforts of many talented people working toward one shared goal. Forge Construction, Leigh + O'Kane, Pro Deo Youth Center, PKMR Engineers.

Sure, the crowd shrank once the office realized nobody is dethroning Hayden North. Even so, we had to send our interns off right with PKMR's Fastest Engineer race. Huge congrats to our entire podium of three competitors!

We had a blast (and beat the heat!) sponsoring the Annual Mission Southside Charity Golf Tournament yesterday morning. It was a total scorcher, but our amazing summer interns and trusty CAD tech, Paul, stepped up to volunteer. Huge thanks to them for helping get everything set up for a successful day of giving back!

There’s nothing quite like the chance to take down your favorite PM or Principal in an unforgettable paintball showdown! 🎯 The PKMR Engineers crew hit the field last Friday afternoon, and it’s safe to say we had a blast. Huge shoutout to DropZone Paintball Fields Paintball Park for hosting us and keeping the afternoon safe, fun, and incredibly competitive!

The entire PKMR Engineers family wants to congratulate Doug Newstrom on his retirement!

Doug served as our dedicated Business Manager for 14 incredible years.He stepped up whenever needed, masterfully handling a massive variety of responsibilities. Our current success is a direct reflection of his tireless efforts. While we will miss his daily presence - and his signature long winded stories - his impact remains with us.

We thank Doug for his leadership, his mentorship, and his friendship. We wish him nothing but joy as he begins this well-deserved new chapter!
