Civil Science Civil Science, a 100% employee-owned civil engineering firm founded in 2002, provides expert services across multiple states.

Our skilled team delivers innovative, cost-effective solutions that balance functionality and benefit communities. Civil Science is a full-service civil engineering firm established in 2002 through an employee buyout of a local firm which has been continuously providing consulting engineering services since 1978. Civil Science provides services through the expertise of highly qualified professional engineers, licensed surveyors, planners, and a support pool of technicians to a wide array of both public sector and private clientele in multiple states. In 2015, Civil Science transitioned to a 100% Employee-Owned company in order to benefit our employees and clients through increased collaboration, and commitment. Civil Science employee-owners are passionate about teaming with clients to develop solutions that are innovative, instill lasting value, and provide for mutual success. This focus results in an effective balance of cost and functionality that serves the long-term interests of people and communities. Last night, St. George celebrated 10 years of Thunder Junction All Abilities Park, and we were proud to be part of it.

A decade ago, this park set out to be a place where EVERY kid and family can play together. The community came back to celebrate that legacy, ride the train, and officially break ground on Phase II!

Building on the success of Phase I, this expansion will bring an Ice Age–themed experience to the park, with unique play structures inspired by a woolly mammoth and a giant sloth. Our Parks & Recreation team provided landscape architecture services, working alongside the City of St. George to create an imaginative space for families.

A big thank you to Jeff Peay, Cody Howick, Jordan Goff, and Jeff Chandler for the work they put into bringing Phase II to life, and to the City of St. George for trusting us with a project that means so much to the community.

We’re excited to watch Phase II move from design to construction. Here’s to the next chapter.

From improving local roads to upgrading critical utility systems, public works projects solve practical needs that communities experience every day.

Our Civil Science team partners with municipalities across Utah on the roads, utilities, and infrastructure their communities depend on. We're looking for a Public Works Project Manager in Lehi or Salt Lake City who can bring together strong client relationships, technical experience, and project leadership to help deliver that work.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to:

-Lead meaningful infrastructure projects that directly support communities across Utah
-Build lasting relationships with municipal clients and become a valued resource as their needs evolve
-Bring teams together around clear goals and strong project outcomes
-Mentor developing engineers and help shape the next generation of project leaders
-Play an active role in growing our Utah Public Works practice and the relationships behind it

You'll step into an established backlog of work with the opportunity to make an immediate impact—not only on the projects you lead, but on the clients, communities, and people you work alongside.
