This is a mechanical job focusing on the maintenance, repair, and rebuilding of heavy vehicles and construction equipment in the shop/field. Work includes diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems, evaluating overall conditions, and performing skilled technical tasks such as testing, installing, repairing, rebuilding, rewiring, replacing, and/or fabricating parts for a variety of heavy vehicles and construction equipment. Work is performed under limited supervision and requires independent judgement pertaining to the repair and/or rebuilding of heavy vehicles and construction equipment.
To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of at least two years experience in maintenance, repair, and/or rebuilding Heavy Truck and Construction equipment.
Successful candidates will:
• Pass paid medical examination that includes a drug test and any applicable driver examination of road assigned equipment.
• Have a valid Class C State of Maine license by first day of employment.
• Class A or B CDL Licenses is helpful but not required
