Landmapper for finding groundwater

Before designing the water supply or sewage system, it is necessary to determine the location of groundwater.

Groundwater is located at a depth of 8-40 meters from the surface of the ground. Such waters are considered clean, filtered.

What is the traditional way to find groundwater?

The most commonly used method is exploratory drilling. Wells are drilled in several points of the site, because groundwater is not located evenly. The disadvantages of this method are that you do not know for sure where to drill. People drill in several places by trial and error.
Landmapper allows you to determine the depth of groundwater by measuring only from the surface without drilling. The device identifies the location of groundwater, its depth, which facilitates drilling exactly where there is water.

Using the method of vertical electrical sounding (VES) with Landmapper you can determine in detail the specific electrical resistivity at any (up to 30 m) depth, which depends on the lithological composition, moisture content, degree of compaction of the rock, water saturation and water tightness. Also with the help of Landmapper device you can determine the degree of salinity of groundwater.
