Chameli Tissera has been interning with us since the summer of 2022 as a rising junior through GSMST's "Junior Fellowship Experience" program. She will attend the University of Georgia to earn her Bachelors in Civil Engineering this fall.

Ruocheng "Harry" Wang is a student at Georgia Technical Institute earning his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.

We are grateful for achieving this milestone and for our successful partnerships with PPrecision Planning, Inc. HHogan Construction Group, LLC and MMetromont Corporationfor the Forest Park Gillem Public Safety Building. A special thanks to the GGeorgia Chapter ACIfor the recognition.

Metromont is pleased to announce that the Forest Park Gillem Public Safety Building is the First-Place Winner in the Public Works Category of the 2024 Georgia Chapter ACI Awards. Located in the Gillem Logistics Center in Forest Park, Georgia, the new Gillem Public Safety Building was unveiled by the City of Forest Park Government last spring. The $8.3 million, 15,000 SF total precast structure is a mixed-use building that includes a fire station, police precinct substation, conference room for public safety personnel, sleeping quarters, high-end kitchen, and a fitness center. Metromont’s Hiram team produced 12,517 SF of precast concrete for the project (113 pieces), including factory topped roof double tees and 9” thick insulated precast wall panels with an architectural face mix, brick formliner, and sandblast finish. Such a wonderful experience volunteering with Feed My Starving Children From Hunger To Hope mobile pack in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Yesterday our office, along with other volunteer groups, packed over 45,000 meals to feed 125 children worldwide for a year.

Thank you Feed My Starving Children and North Gwinnett Cooperative for your efforts to end child hunger locally and abroad. We can't wait to serve with you all again.

Gwinnett County Fire Station 13, in Suwanee, Georgia, is now open! This 10,788 sq. ft. Fire Station facility is the new home for the Station 13 crew, who responded and served from surrounding stations since the closing of the old Fire Station 13. This new facility provides room for 24-hour staffing for a minimum of five personnel and three drive-thru apparatus bays. Well-equipped for serving the City of Suwanee.
