October is Careers in Construction Month! 🏗️

For Local 44, a career in construction means more than showing up to a job. It means learning a skilled trade, putting in thousands of hours of hands-on and classroom training and building expertise that can last a lifetime.

Ironworking takes skill. It takes commitment. And it takes pride in doing the job right.

This month, we’re proud to celebrate the skilled professionals who choose careers in construction and the next generation who will carry these trades forward.

We had a great day at the Local 44 apprenticeship competition today with a few of our apprentices: Summer, Bre, Joe, and Josh. They all did great, and a special shoutout to Summer and Bre placing 3rd and 4th overall respectively, and Summer won the welding competition for the second year in a row! Summer will compete in the district competition, and Bre is the first alternate to go to district. We are so proud of all of them for representing Priority Steel!
