25 years ago today, we watched the unthinkable unfold. We lost mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, friends, and heroes who ran toward danger when others were escaping it.
But in the darkest hour of our generation, something remarkable happened. Strangers carried strangers. Firefighters raised a flag over the rubble. Lines formed around the block to give blood. Neighbors who had never spoken stood shoulder to shoulder.
We didn’t just survive that day. We answered it.
We turned tragedy into unity. Unity into hope. Hope into strength.
At the worst, we showed who we are at our best, and that is what we owe the ones we lost: to keep being that country, not just today, but every day.
We will never forget. 🇺🇸
