Here are some pics of a Caterpillar 793F Mesabi Radiator Module Cooling Package we rebuilt. This one came to us in pretty rough shape. All the composite fan shroud pieces were cracked & fractured. Several of the threaded bolt holes were stripped out & there were several cracks in the fan guard mounting blocks as well as the fan guards themselves. Both the left & right side frames also had some cracks. This rebuild took quite a bit more time & man hours than a normal rebuild because of the prepping, welding & massaging to all the cracks that had to be addressed. We got all the repairs completed & a rigorous pressure test to make sure it is leak free & ready for another round of service.

Here are some pics of some tubular exhaust manifolds for a 944 Porsche. Our customer wanted them cleaned inside & out, checked out & ceramic coated. So we thermal cleaned them in our oven & then shotblasted them down to the raw cast iron metal. After they checked out good with no cracks they were prepped & ceramic coated with a high temperature high performance coating. The gun metal gray that our customer chose will keep the exhaust heat inside the exhaust reducing the underhood temperatures as well as giving a nice finishing touch to the appearance in the engine compartment.

Here are some before & after pics of a Caterpillar Excavator Radiator that came in for rebuilding. The radiator core was internally plugged along with some external damage which was causing the machine to overheat. We recommended recoring the radiator with a new heavy duty high efficiency core. Our customer agreed to recore the radiator per our recommendation. A final pressure test after assembling the radiator with the new core assured it has no leaks.

Here are some pics of a Caterpillar 994K loader radiator hardnose cooling system package we rebuilt. This nosecone assembly contains twenty five aluminum AMOCS modular radiator cores, two aftercoolers, two transmission oil coolers, five implement oil coolers, one rear brake cooler and an air conditioning condenser. Each radiator core section & every cooler were all cleaned, flushed, inspected, repaired & pressure tested. The hydraulic fan motor was replaced as well as the fan blade as it had some damage to the blades. This was a time sensitive job so it had to be turned in a very short time frame.

Here’s some pics of a Caterpillar 793F Mesabi Radiator Module Cooling Package we rebuilt. Rebuilding the Mesabi Radiator itself is a bit of a job. Removing all the external cooling system components for cleaning, repairing & rebuilding is a whole other project. Reinstalling all the external pieces & parts onto the radiator make this a complete drop-in cooling system package which save the mines considerable time which decreases the downtime of the machine. The quicker the machine is up & running the quicker it’s moving dirt & that’s the name of the game!!

Here’s some pics of some machining jobs we have in for the engine machine shop department. The two cylinder heads are both Cummins diesel 6.7 liter inline six cylinders. One is off of a 2018 Dodge truck & the other one is a mystery at the moment. They are both getting a valve job and surface. The engine block is a mid ’50’s to early 60’s 259 cubic inch Studebaker. After we get the block hot tanked we will be boring & honing the cylinders for the new Silv-O-Lite Hypereutectic aluminum pistons to .030 over.

Here are some progress pics of the Caterpillar 994K Loader Hardnose we’re doing a complete overhaul & rebuild to. The twenty five individual aluminum AMOCS radiator cores have been removed, cleaned, repaired & pressure tested before being reinstalled into the hardnose. Once all the radiator cores are installed the system is pressure tested to make sure there aren’t any leaks. After the radiator section passes the pressure test we will begin installing the rest of the cooling system components.

Here are a few pics of a Caterpillar 16M grader circle assembly we’re machining the bores on. With our Rottler CNC boring & milling machine we are able to mount large parts & engine blocks for precision line boring as well as many other milling & machining operations. Once the circle assembly is securely mounted to the machine we enter the machining operation program. The machine then machines both bores with the line boring feature unattended. Both bores will be perfectly in line with each other as well as to the correct bore size specification.

Here are some pics of a Caterpillar 793F Mesabi Radiator Module Cooling Package we picked up for repair and rebuilding. Some of the cooling system components include the two aftercoolers, ac condenser, fan blade, hydraulic fan motor and multiple cooling pipes, hoses & hardware. After we get all the cooling system components removed we will begin the rebuild to the Mesabi Radiator assembly. We’ll post more pics as the rebuild progresses.

Here are some pics of a couple different radiator jobs we completed. The two radiators stacked on top of each other on the pallet are for a Caterpillar D10T2 dozer. Both radiators are heavy duty aluminum units. The smaller radiator is for an older Ford LN9000. The original radiator was a copper brass core with plastic tanks. We updated it with an all metal copper brass replacement.
