City of North Las Vegas Celebrates New Fire Station #51

Congratulations to the City of North Las Vegas on the grand opening and ribbon cutting of Fire Station #51!

The new 13,564-square-foot facility on East Carey Avenue replaces the original station built in the 1970s. The modern station features four apparatus bays, living quarters, training and exercise spaces, and updated systems to support firefighters and emergency response operations.

TJK is proud to have provided mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and technology engineering services for this project designed by CSD Architects. We're proud to be part of a project that supports our first responders and the North Las Vegas community.

Adventure Center Boulder City recently celebrated its grand opening and ribbon cutting!

Located at 102 Nevada Way, overlooking the Lake Mead National Recreation Area, the new facility serves as a small business hub for outdoor recreation and a one-stop shop for visitors seeking adventure.

The center currently hosts six businesses, with two more on the way, offering activities including hiking, biking, kayaking, lake cruises, river rafting, and scenic air tours.

Project News: The Park at Expo Idaho receives Award

Congratulations to PORT on receiving the Award of Excellence in the Concept Public Space category from the World Landscape Architecture Awards. TJK is proud to provide the Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, and Technology engineering design for this exciting transformation of the former horse racetrack into a new community park with skate and play areas, pavilions, and gathering spaces.

We look forward to celebrating the ribbon cutting in October and seeing this new community space come to life.

We're pleased to announce Jose Barreto, PE as TJK's new Director of Electrical Engineering.

Jose is a licensed Professional Electrical Engineer with experience leading electrical engineering projects across a wide range of market sectors. His background includes MEP consulting, renewable energy, and contractor side engineering, giving him a well rounded perspective on the design and construction process.

A Las Vegas resident since 1994 and a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Jose has built his career delivering thoughtful engineering solutions, mentoring technical staff, and leading multidisciplinary teams through every phase of design.

Las Vegas has been home to Jose since 1994 and played an important role in shaping his path to engineering. Inspired by an early interest in math and science, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from UNLV before beginning his career in the MEP industry.
