Excavating and restoring deteriorated pipe systems by means of open trench method is expensive and is not always economically viable. FRP’s overall lifetime cost is cheaper than steel pipelines. Its anticorrosion properties means it will last much longer and the low friction coefficient mean that the cost to pump fluids over the life of the pipeline will be substantially less. There are also no costs to maintain cathodic protection as with steel pipe.

Our project included moving 50,000 cubic meters of fiberglass-reinforced plastic pipe from a factory in Indonesia to a project site in Redwood City, California. This FRP pipe was specifically selected over all other pipe materials due to its smooth internal surface which enhances its capacity to provide better hydraulic performance, helping the flow of the wastewater through the pipe!

Completed in May 2020, the Butter Creek Irrigation Project in East Oregon. This project entailed 8.5 miles of 36” high pressure FRP to supply commercial farms with energy-efficient irrigation needed to produce food.
