Sign Installer
Westlund Concepts | Lapel, Indiana | Full-Time
Pay: $20–$30/hour, based on experience, plus overtime opportunities
Schedule: Four-Day Work Week (Monday–Thursday)

Westlund Concepts is an imaging company that utilizes our strengths in fabrication, print production, and installation to deliver a quality product that meets our customers’ needs and quality expectations in a safe and timely manner. We're looking for an Installer who can take ownership of various imaging installation methods in the field, whether your background is in sign work, electrical trades, or commercial construction.
This is a hands-on position for someone who knows how to get the job done safely and correctly, from channel letters, vinyl graphic, and monument signs; to electrical troubleshooting, detailed display installations, and more.
If you have installation experience, strong electrical or construction skills, and you're comfortable working independently in the field, we'd like to talk with you.
What You'll Do
• Install and lead on-site commercial sign installations, including channel letters, monument signs, and similar sign types, ensuring work matches approved proof packs.
• Perform electrical work and field troubleshooting, including wiring, LEDs, and structural or installation issues.
• Prep job sites, remove existing signage, and complete on-site painting, cleaning, and finishing work.
• Safely operate lifts, bucket trucks, tools, and company vehicles, and load, transport, and secure materials and equipment.
• Perform sign maintenance, service, and repairs.
• Communicate with Project Managers on job status and field conditions, and upload completion photos and documentation.
• Keep job sites and company vehicles clean and organized, and complete required paperwork.
• Follow OSHA, NEC, and all applicable safety and regulatory requirements.
What We're Looking For
Sign installation experience is strongly preferred. We will also consider experienced candidates from commercial electrical, construction installation, or similar trades who have the technical skills to transition successfully into our imaging installation.
• 3+ years of sign installation, electrical trade, or commercial construction installation experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT physical.
• Working knowledge of electrical wiring, LEDs, and troubleshooting, or strong general electrical aptitude.
• Confidence using hand and power tools.
• Ability to safely work at heights using ladders, lifts, and bucket trucks.
• Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 80 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors year-round.
• Dependability, good judgment, and a strong commitment to safety.
• Ability to work independently while also being part of an installation team.
Even Better If You Have
• Commercial sign installation experience.
• Welding certifications or welding experience.
• CDL Class B.
• Heavy equipment operating experience.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30.
• Additional safety or technical certifications.
• Experience operating bucket trucks, boom lifts, scissor lifts, forklifts, or similar equipment.
• Availability for travel.
Compensation & Benefits
• $20–$30/hour, based on experience.
• Overtime opportunities.
