The science is in, and it's worth the read. 🔬

A completed study from the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment is adding new weight to what many community leaders already know: recycled rubber enables safe, sustainable, all-season play.

Rubber News covered it, and Program Director Scott Ge**er put it simply: "We want to encourage young people to be more active, more healthy... and crumb rubber enables safe, sustainable all-season play."

If you build or maintain recreation spaces, this one's worth a few minutes of your time.

♻️ Reclaimed rubber can go a lot further than people think.

Like commercial kitchens—where ECOsurfaces AssurGrip Rx provides a slip-resistant surface built for wet, high-demand environments, from kitchens to locker rooms and beyond.

From reclamation to real-world impact, this is how old material takes on new purpose.

Today we pause.

Memorial Day is a reminder that the freedoms we take for granted — to build, to create, to work — were bought at the highest price.

We're grateful for every service member who gave everything so others could keep going.

Who are you remembering today? Drop a name, a branch, a memory. We'd be honored to read it. 🇺🇸

What does the latest OEHHA study really say about recycled rubber?

If you’re a community leader, athletic director, or decision-maker, this is a conversation worth understanding.

In this episode of Better Play Initiative, BPI Program Director Scott Ge**er sits down with K. Stratton Kirton of Liberty Tire Recycling to break down California OEHHA’s multi-year research—and what the final conclusion means in practice:

NO significant health risks for people using turf fields with recycled rubber.

This comprehensive study brings much-needed clarity to a topic impacting communities across the country.

A little behind-the-scenes look at reclamation. ♻️

When customers replace existing rubber flooring with new Ecore flooring, the process doesn’t end with removal. Through TRUcircularity®, old rubber floors can be picked up, reclaimed, and recycled into future Ecore products.

It’s one of the ways we keep rubber in use and give old materials a new purpose.

Yesterday at the Tire Recycling Conference was something special. Seeing our CEO, Art Dodge, sit down with internationally renowned sculptor Chakaia Booker for Bold Treads: The Art of Tire Recycling to Reclaim and Reinvent was an unforgettable conversation about creativity, sustainability, and what’s possible with end-of-life tires.

Booker’s work transforms recycled rubber and end-of-life tires into incredible sculptures that challenge how we think about waste, sustainability, and innovation.

It was inspiring to see art and industry come together around a shared mission: creating new possibilities for end-of-life tires and pushing the circular economy forward. ♻️🛞🎨

Ecore is taking the stage. 🎤

We're proud to have two of our own speaking at the Tire Recycling Conference this week.

🔹 Shweta Srikanth joins industry leaders to discuss how integrating processing, collection, and collaborative partnerships can accelerate tire recycling at scale. [10:30 AM]

🔹 Art Dodge sits down with internationally renowned sculptor Chakaia Booker — whose work is built entirely from recycled rubber — to explore what's possible when industry meets art.

Two sessions. One mission: proving that rubber waste is anything but wasted.

Recycled Rubber 101: What’s the first step?

Reclamation.

We recover end-of-life rubber—from commercial truck tires to flooring—and transform it into high-performance surfaces designed to last.

It’s how we keep valuable material out of landfills and in use. . . again and again.

Follow along as we break down the journey from tire to product.
