Build the Wheel Music Events
Fairfield County, located Southeast of Columbus, Ohio, has a rich historic heritage. Fairfield County also has a rich musical heritage. Build the Wheel Music Events invites you to come and explore the opportunities to share your music at one of Fairfield County’s finest area attractions, Rock Mill. Rock Mill is
the oldest and largest grist mill site in Ohio. The building was built in 1826 and has stood as a testament to our past, just like some of our favorite songs. And like the songs that we love we need to preserve and promote this structure and the history of it’s use. The building has recently undergone a reconstruction phase that saved much of the original mill. The completion of this historic building to operational status as a grist mill will allow the visitor of our county to see and feel the process of taking grain threshed from our fair fields to the final milled product that was the life bread of the community. The volunteers of Rock Mill are working very hard to purchase and build the water wheel that will power the equipment inside the mill making it’s history come alive not only for the citizens of Fairfield County but visitors from other states and countries that spend their time and money at our doorsteps. You can be a part of this noteworthy undertaking. Please consider making plans to have your next music workshop, concert, group meeting or jam at the Historic Rock Mill. Build the Wheel Music Events can be a part of your gathering by offering knowledge of the local area’s accommodations, guided tours of Rock Mill, event logistics, and other details that would make your music come to life. All that we ask, in exchange for this opportunity, is a monetary contribution to provide some of the needed funds that will complete Rock Mill‘s water wheel. Just imagine: The magic of listening to the rushing water of the upper falls of the Hocking River. The feeling of being in a living time capsule. The warmth and joy associated with the music that we love to share. All in one place.
