Architects and security consultants: there’s a new edition of the UL 752 ballistic resistance standard, and it’s worth updating your specifications.

UL 752 Edition 12 introduces a clearer framework for communicating ballistic threat resistance, improving coordination between architects, security consultants, general contractors, and manufacturers.

What’s new:
• Clearer and easier to specify threat levels
• Improved testing consistency, including tighter projectile velocity windows
• More consistent terminology for coordinating doors, glazing, frames, and other protective assemblies
