One of the production lines making 18" cones today. This cone is made of the extraordinarily high Young's Modulus, Highly Dampened X5 paper pulp formulation. A thermoset cone apex dip is added for high temperature strength. The adhesive being used is a CP Moyen brand adhesive, also made in the Lancaster, Wisconsin manufacturing plant, alongside the cones, spiders and dust caps.

Loudspeaker Components manufactures a line of 10 inch through 18 inch cones with the typical wide roll surround like pictured here. The cone material is very unique with a cocktail of internal pulp binders as well as a secondary epoxy dip. Fibers are polyester, Kraft and polyethylene- all fused together by heat pressing.
