When new SKUs keep arriving and your space is already packed, you need a way to add capacity fast without expanding the building.

A wholesale distributor of food and household products needed to fit hundreds of new SKUs into existing freezer areas kept at -10 degrees.

Our annual UNEX Family Day at Monmouth Park Racetrack was a scorching afternoon full of great food, fun, and time together.

Our team enjoyed delicious catering from Jersey Shore BBQ, cool treats from the ice cream cart, face painting for the kids, and fun photo booth moments from Fusion Photo Booths. We also handed out a few UNEX giveaways, including custom Family Day T-shirts, trucker hats with embossed leather patches, and mirrored sunglasses.

To make the day even more special, we sponsored the “UNEX Family Day” race!

A big thank you to Heather Nelson for organizing such a memorable event and to our party-planning crew for helping bring it all together.

The UNEX Employee of the Month for August is Dean Sozio. 🏆 Dean is an Applications Engineer. He lives in Florida and has worked at UNEX for 13.5 years. We asked Dean a few questions:

What is your favorite thing about your job at UNEX?
Creating designs that work for the customer while trying to keep them as standard as possible.

What is your favorite UNEX memory?
Designing and implementing the new SpanTrack Wheel Bed track. It’s a huge success!

What is your biggest non-academic, non-work-related accomplishment?
I converted a gas car to electric in 2014, before all the automakers began making them. I used it for about seven years.

If you could have a conversation with a historical figure, whom would it be?
Nikola Tesla

Dean, what’s the last thing you purchased from the internet? How would you rate it? A fruit picker extension pole to pick my mangoes and avocados. 4⭐, high quality, extends nicely, strong wire basket, but the “fingers” that grab the fruit should be slightly longer. 🥭🥑🥭
