Single Duramax LBZ cylinder head. Broken glow plug bounced around and eventually found its way crushed in place by the exhaust valve. extensive inspection including Dye penetrant testing the aluminum cylinder head resulted in no signs of cracks. Was able to re-machine the seats and replace the damaged valve and valve guide. Surfaced head surface to within a safe tolerance of valve recession depth. overall was able to salvage this head and keep it within tolerances and get the customers service truck back to work.

Custom Stainless x-pipe exhaust welded up utilizing a universal x-pipe and mating it to the cars existing Flowmaster mufflers. Mig and Tig welding where applicable. 68' Camaro that Paul @ Malley's Rallys is nearing completion of the LS swap of. Gives this Muscle car some noise to match its new transplant.

Rally stand provisions cut in and welded for a Corolla Rally car. 1/4" wall tube through chassis and integrated into the box of the existing cage. Should help keep this car maintenance and repair between stages much easier.

2 separate Subaru flywheels knocked out today, one of which was surfaced improperly by another shop and required some extra care to correct the step depth back to spec.

Working with Malley's Rallys to get a 1641 vw bus motor running right and modify the Aftermarket A/C system being installed to work with a single serpentine belt.
A/C brackets needed to be machined square, surfaced, some new holes drilled/tapped and some support structures machined and tig welded for the serpentine belt conversion.
More than 10% leakdown loss in #1 cylinder, found previous engine assembler left a burr on both top rings when grinding ring gaps. Caused minor scarring in cylinder and loss of compression into crankcase. reconditioned cylinder bore, stayed within tolerance of piston to bore clearance. inspected ring gaps and deburred rings.

Prius Cylinder head brought in by Riviera Auto. All guides in good shape, high spot in center of cylinder head deck surface of .0025". pitting on exhaust valves and seats that needed to be cleaned up. Cut all exhaust seats and gave exhaust valve faces all a fresh grind. Deck surface cleaned up in 0.004" with the PCD cutter.

Pair of 454 heads. 3 broken exhaust studs, extensive pitting on exhaust valve faces, and a couple valve stems were too worn from the retainers to re-use. Unfortunately some extensive cracking into water jacket on both castings.
Once we have our oven up and running we will be able to repair such things.

This week, customer brought in a pair of Toyota 3.4 heads that had been very overheated and high mileage. Motor had been ingesting a lot of water for some time. Unfortunately both cylinder heads failed pressure testing due to multiple cracks between valve seats in multiple cylinders. In this case, these heads will be replaced rather than repaired.

Last week finished up machining and rebuilding a set of Ram Hemi 5.7L Heads for a customer. Came in with 4 broken exhaust studs/bolts, 6 valve guides worn past tolerance and considerable pitting on valves/seats. Extracted bolts with no damage to threads, replaced the 6 valve guides, reamed and honed to spec. Put a fresh grind on all the original valves and recut seats. Heads required 0.0065" off deck surface to bring them back to flat.
