The Colinas Group is a proud supporter of environmental education! In these photos, TCG hydrogeologist Tom Shaw instructs groups of AP environmental students from Lake Minneola High School on the importance of soil composition and classification as they relate to farming and infrastructure development. We hope the students enjoyed a beautiful day of hands-on outdoor learning experiences at the CEMEX Center Hill Limestone Quarry's Sumter Environmental Education Center. Go Hawks!

The 59th Annual Science and Engineering Fair of Florida is being held at the Lakeland Center in Lakeland on Wednesday, April 9, 2014, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The event organizers are in need of approximately 400 science and engineering professionals to serve as judges for the event, however, at this time, their list of volunteers stands at less than 140. The projects that make it to the state finals are generally of high quality and the students that developed them are interested and engaging. If you can spare a day in support of Florida future science and engineering professionals, please go the the webpage below and register as a judge. We hope that many of you will answer the call and join us in support of their efforts. Thank you.
