Southside Machine Works is hiring an experienced MANUAL Machinist for our evening shift (3pm - 1am, 4 days per week).

Qualified candidates will have 3-5 years experience as a MANUAL Machinist (Lathes/Mill) in a Machine Shop setting.

The City of Lake Charles Partners in Parks Initiative and Project Build a Future are teaming up with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, Southside Machine Works and Kappa Sigma Fraternity for a Fishing for Fun in the Park Event on Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 10 am – noon. This free, interactive event will take place at Riverside Park, located at 1701 Fitzenreiter Rd.

Attendees will have the opportunity to get first-hand fishing lessons, learn more about the fish and other native species that call Riverside Park and the Calcasieu River home. Games, prizes, refreshments and more are sure to make this event fun for the entire family.
