We often respond to this question about the size of our dumpsters. Actually we intentionally specialized in medium to small dumpsters for a few reasons.

First off, smaller dumpsters are more maneuverable than larger bins. We often have customers praise our ability to put our dumpsters into tight spaces in smaller yards so the family can still use their driveway to carry on with life despite an ongoing project at home. Placing a dumpster in one parking space enables businesses to continue serving their customers while managing a partial remodel or expansion. Definitely appreciated when multiple businesses share a parking lot!

Secondly, our dumpsters are scalable. What I mean is a customer that needs approximately 30 yards of waste removed can simply get two of our 14 yard or three of our 10 yard dumpsters for roughly the same price as one 30 yard bin from a competitor. Rotating out smaller dumpsters also allows project managers to manage resources within different phases of the project. 

A third reason our smaller dumpsters make more sense is in minimizing equipment and labor costs for our commercial customers. Contractors that have the ability to place multiple dumpsters in key locations effectively reduce labor and equipment costs with multiple consolidation points throughout a job site. There is nothing worse than dragging construction waste back and forth across a job site only to be faced with having to pay laborers more money and take more time to pick up everything left all over the site.

Lastly, our dumpsters are still more than large enough for most jobs. A 10 yard dumpster may not make a dent in a large long term construction project, but as you can see from our customers with single family homes facing hurricane recovery, they are a HUGE help. It is much easier for a homeowner to get reimbursement from their insurance company for one or multiple small dumpsters than it is for the larger commercial ones. Additionally, most families don’t have the means to fill a 40 yard bin, but are able to tackle loading a 10 or 14 yard dumpster with relative ease. Check out the pics. Today a single mom and her kids were able to clean up their whole yard and home in one day with one of our smallest dumpsters.
