A little piece of This is Home Fest history has found a home at Lake Charles Toyota!

Festival president Trenton Mays stopped by to present Corey Tarver with a 2026 commemorative poster autographed by this year’s performers. It is thoughtful thank-you for Lake Charles Toyota’s ongoing support as presenting sponsor.

In just a few years, This Is Home Fest has become one of the Lake Area’s premier music festivals and a genuine feather in our cultural chapeau. We’re proud to help provide a stage for original music and the talented people who make the musical gumbo called Louisiana.

Two days. Two fires. Two reasons we are proud to call Southwest Louisiana home. 🔥

First, the Giveback Grill helped raise money for local families affected by cystic fibrosis. Meeting the Jorden family and learning more about the care their baby boy requires made the impact feel especially close to home.

The next day, we served lunch at Farmers Rice Milling Company, thanking a team whose work has supported local agriculture for generations.

Our fall schedule is filling quickly, but our purpose stays simple: show up, serve well and give back to the community that supports us.

Southwest Louisiana has another Angel!

Congratulations to Julia Bourgeois, founder and president of Families for Inclusion, on being named one of the Louisiana Blue Foundation’s 2026 Angel Award honorees.

Julia joins a remarkable tradition of people from our community recognized for changing the lives of Louisiana children. Since the Angel Award began in 1995, 13 honorees from Lake Charles and Sulphur have come before her, including Tanya McGee, Ken Brown, Velika Hurst Trahan, Erin Davison and DeWanna Tarver.

Now Julia adds her name to that legacy through work that is creating a more accessible and empathetic world for children with disabilities.

Through Families for Inclusion, Julia and her team advocate for something every child deserves: the opportunity to participate, connect and belong. A disability should never determine whether a child gets to experience the activities, friendships and opportunities available to other children. FFI works to remove those barriers and help build a community that makes room for every child.

Lake Charles Toyota is proud to support their mission and thrilled to see Julia’s impact recognized statewide.

The influence of a great coach reaches a lot farther than the scoreboard.

That is one of the reasons Lake Charles Toyota is a Tom Landry Sponsor of the Southwest Louisiana FCA.

Earlier this month, we joined the SWLA FCA team at McNeese for their first annual banquet, spending the evening with people from across our community who believe in investing in coaches and student athletes.

Special guest, Comedian Mike Goodwin kept the room laughing, and we enjoyed hearing from student athletes and coaches alike about the personal impact FCA is making here in Southwest Louisiana.

Congratulations to Winston Quesenberry, Steve Sanford and everyone who made this first banquet a success.

Leaders of Tomorrow deserve a seat at the table.

Lake Charles Toyota was proud to turn our table at today’s LegisGator Luncheon over to an outstanding group of students from Peer Initiative - Leaders of Tomorrow , also known as PILOT.

Now in its 12th year, Peer Initiative empowers students to recognize warning signs of a mental health crisis, support their peers, and help connect young people with the professional resources they need.

Today, these young leaders had an opportunity to be in a room filled with elected officials, business leaders, and community leaders discussing the future of Louisiana. We can think of few people more deserving of that opportunity than the young people who are already working to make their schools and communities stronger.

We’re proud to support Peer Initiative and even prouder to see these Leaders of Tomorrow taking their seat at the table.

There are some investments whose impact can reach far beyond the amount written on the check.

Lake Charles Toyota recently presented $5,000 to Families for Inclusion to help develop "Kids for Inclusion", a new program that will bring lessons about disability, accessibility, empathy and compassion to young people throughout our community.

The hope is simple: give children an opportunity to better understand one another today and help build a more inclusive Southwest Louisiana tomorrow.
