So about two weeks ago, this nice fella stopped by our garage and asked if we could help him figure out and repair a squeak noise, coming from his from tires on his 2014 Honda Honda Pilot. He had nice looking wide chrome wheels. At first look, we could see that his tires were unevenly worn. We told this nice fella that the squeak was coming from the tires making friction with the road, We told him that he should get an alignment check done, because something is wearing the tires prematurely. That an alignment shop would tell him if there was anything wrong with the steering or suspension components before a actual alignment was performed. A good alignment shop would do this. If there is anything wrong with any of these parts, an alignment is worthless. The moment you move the vehicle off the alignment wrack, the steering would be off any way. He looked at us with a surprised look, as if he was expecting us to give him a different answer. He said he had a place he would take it to, smiled an left.
We just saw him again today. He was very happy to see us! He explained how he took our advice and had this alignment shop look at his car's issue. They told him that it was a front wheel bearing that was causing the issue. But that his alignment would be completed in a few more minutes. He was very upset right there and then. He argued with the service manager regarding the alignment not going to work if there is a bad bearing. And how a waist of money this would be for him. On top of the 2 hours he had already spent waiting there. Apparently the service manager was crossed that they had spent so much time checking his car and nothing was going to be done. LOL!!!!
Needless to say, he has now brought us his car, and we will take care of it asap. He liked that we didn't lie to him just to make a buck. And he likes that we will pick up his car at work and drop it back off to him when the work is done so he doesn't have to waist time off work and lose any more.
Hope this help you figure out what do about repairs on your steering, suspension and alignment issues. If you have question, drop us a line, we'd be glad to help. :)
