Eighteen years ago, Seth Mooney began his journey with Stella Maris, and today we’re proud to celebrate the impact he has made along the way.

Seth joined Stella Maris on June 2, 2008, as a Project Coordinator and quickly advanced into a Project Manager role before becoming our Manager of Projects in 2011. Over the past 18 years, he has played an instrumental role in the growth and success of our company, helping to expand our project portfolio, strengthening client relationships, and building the talented team that we have today.

When reflecting on his time at Stella Maris, one memory stands out “The move from our leased space on Annonce Street to our current facility on Pont des Mouton.” Being part of that transition represented a significant chapter in the company's history and growth. Of course, he also fondly remembers the early days sharing a crowded office with Jacob Denison.

While Seth has led countless successful projects throughout his career, what he's most proud of is the growth of Stella Maris itself. Through both challenging times and rewarding moments, he has witnessed firsthand how our team has evolved into the organization it is today.

When Seth was asked what he enjoys most about working at Stella Maris, his answer is simple: “The people”. While he once took pride in his own accomplishments as a young project manager, today he finds the greatest satisfaction in what our team achieves together. His leadership philosophy is equally straightforward: "It's going to be alright." Through every challenge, Seth reminds us that teamwork, perseverance, and a fresh start each day can overcome just about anything.

Outside of work, Seth enjoys spending time with his wife and family and hunting and fishing. Looking back on his 18-year journey, he describes it with three words: Challenging, Fast-Paced, and Rewarding.

Stella Maris engineers braved the rain to participate in the “Pull for the Culture” Sporting Clay Tournament benefiting Ragin’ Cajuns Football at Wilderness Gun Club. It was a great day filled with teamwork, friendly competition, and support for a great cause.

We are seeking an Executive and Financial Administrator to support executive and financial activities for our company. The preferred candidate will show strong integrity, will be highly motivated, will be detail oriented, and will continue fostering the company’s positive environment. Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all activities and communications
- Provide comprehensive support to the executive team
- Assist Controller with various closing activities, audits, and reporting
- Record financial transactions in the accounting system
- Coordinate with HR and operations to ensure accurate employee data
entries, labor law compliance, and benefits plan administration
- Process employee payroll
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll tax deposits and filings
- Prepare vendor payments and ensure their proper
authorization, documentation, and delivery
- Generate state and local sales tax returns with proper approvals
- Maintain organization of both paper and electronic financial filing systems
- Manage company-wide office supply inventory

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or
another business-related field
- At least 3 years of accounting and process management experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent professional communication and organizational skills
- High level of integrity and leadership skills

Stella Maris recently completed a large-scale Ammonia Injection project, fully shop fabricated, assembled, and wired for efficient installation in the field.

Ammonia injection in turbine exhaust is a key technology for Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), used to convert nitrogen oxides (NOx) into harmless nitrogen (N₂) and water (H₂O) in the presence of a catalyst. In gas turbines, this is critical for meeting NOx emissions regulations.

Turbine exhaust ammonia injection is a proven NOx control method, with modern DAI systems offering simpler, more efficient designs by leveraging exhaust gas properties for mixing and reducing component needs.
