Just mailed off this commissioned piece to a gentleman in Virginia that reached out through Facebook, wanted me to make this out of his piece of steel and antler. I wanted to document the process for him so he could feel comfortable that his materials were used in the knife and his connection to the knife was as he expected!

Finally got around to making myself a knife. And teamed up with Timothy Banks Old School Leather Worx to make me a sheath for it. He went above and beyond not only did he nail the design I asked for to be able to wear it on my side and in the small of my back, but color matched the knife perfectly. Even designed me a gorgeous well made stand to display it when I’m not wearing it. Huge thanks! If you ever need any leather work done knives or anything else his belts and gun holsters are Top Shelf.

Final day of the Staycation in the Shop! Loving how this came out. My first San-mi blade, hidden tang, hand poured handle. This is the steel we bought at Blade Show . Definitely but my Brodbeck Ironworks grinder to use on this one. Decided to save the stabilized wood we bought for my intergral chef’s knife I’m working on next. As always let me know your thoughts!

Staycation in full effect just finished this 192 layer Damascus skinner, Alex’s design but I wanted to try my luck making it out of Damascus. 1095 and 15N20 steels. With a carbon fiber handle. Enjoying just making whatever comes to mind.

Super excited about this knife I’ve been working on creating a EDC every day carry knife to produce for Riptide as our EDC. Here it is Poseidon’s Toothpick ( PT1 ). 3 3/4 cutting edge, overall length is exactly 8 inches long made with 80CRV2 High Carbon Steel. Wave design hand filed into the spine. I’ll be making more of these soon with assorted handles. As always let me know your thoughts. Brodbeck Ironworks
