Recently, Chris and Lakssh*ta had the opportunity to connect with the next generation of professionals at Washington State University’s senior review and spring celebration.

As a sponsor of the event, SCJ met with graduating students, reviewed portfolios, and shared insights on career paths and industry experiences. Chris also participated in career-focused panel discussions while Lakssh*ta assisted with additional student reviews.

For Lakssh*ta, the experience was especially meaningful. Just last year, SCJ supported her as a student, and this year she returned as a professional to support the next class of Cougs.

It was a great opportunity to reconnect with professors, meet talented students, and engage with fellow industry professionals. They were both proud to represent SCJ Alliance and stay connected to the WSU community.

Bike Everywhere Day was in full gear this spring 🚲☕🍩

’s Susann, Alex, and Hillary partnered with PSRC to run a celebration station at their building for riders commuting through Seattle, handing out coffee, doughnuts, snacks, and encouragement to cyclists starting their day on two wheels. Hillary also created signage and a selfie frame for the station as part of the celebration. Their station was one of many across the city organized through Cascade Bicycle Club’s annual Bike Everywhere Day event.

Thanks to everyone who rode, volunteered, and stopped by to say hello!

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember all those who have served our country, especially the brave service members who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our freedoms. ❤️🤍💙

The SCJ Lacey office hosted their 2nd Annual Clothing Swap this week! 👚♻️

This event is one small way we help reduce waste while giving clothes a second life. Team members brought in pieces they no longer wear and swapped them with coworkers who will love them all over again!

Any unclaimed items will be donated to those in need, helping our community while keeping usable clothing out of landfills. A win-win all around! 💚

Big picture planning starts with community voices. 🌳🏀🎨

The City of Liberty Lake, WA, partnered with SCJ to develop a Parks and Recreation Master Plan that not only meets compliance requirements but also creates a clear path toward future grant funding and long-term implementation. Built around community values, current trends, and future needs, the plan is designed to support a vibrant and connected parks system for years to come.

Through stakeholder interviews, interactive pop-up workshops, and online surveys, the community helped shape a plan that reflects what matters most to Liberty Lake residents. The project also included a comprehensive inventory and assessment of the City’s parks system, recreational programs, and public art, along with policy recommendations to support continued growth and recreational vitality.
