The City of Augusta was recently awarded a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), administered through the Dept of Administration. Governor Evers visited with local officials and other representatives in Augusta last week and discussed how the funds will support critical infrastructure in the City.

The project is a new sewage lift station that will replace an inverted siphon that conveys a significant amount of wastewater across Bridge Creek. The siphon is in poor condition and its replacement will prevent overflows and backups and protect public and environmental health.
