Important Cold Weather Notice for Diesel Customers

In very cold temperatures, diesel fuel can be affected by the weather, causing operational problems. To help prevent breakdowns and keep your vehicles and equipment running reliably, please note:

Diesel can “gel” or form wax crystals in the cold, which can plug fuel filters and cause hard starting or no‑start conditions.
Use winterized diesel fuel and/or appropriate anti‑gel additives as recommended by your engine or equipment manufacturer.
Keep your fuel tanks as full as possible to reduce condensation. Water in the fuel can freeze and block lines or filters.
Check and replace fuel filters regularly, especially during the winter months.
Allow enough pre‑heat and warm‑up time for engines, and avoid heavy loads immediately after starting.
