🏆 We’re proud to announce that the Stone Castle has been honored with the Tennessee School Boards Association’s 2025 School of the Year Award in the Renovation category!

This recognition celebrates the incredible work of Community Tectonics Architects, Inc. and the dedication of our Bristol Tennessee Board of Education to preserving one of our community’s most iconic landmarks.

The renovation maintains the Stone Castle’s historic character while enhancing its use for Tennessee High School athletics and other major school events.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Pellissippi State Community College and Evans Ailey Construction on the renovation of the Educational Resource Center at the Strawberry Plains Campus. We know the students will enjoy the many functions this space offers, such as a library, individual study, collaborative learning, technology stations, and much more!

Community Tectonics Architects and Bristol Tennessee City Schools accepted awards for the design of the new Tennessee Middle School at the Tennessee School Boards Association Annual Convention. We're honored to have won BOTH Middle School of the Year AND the People's Choice Awards! We'd like to thank everyone that helped bring the project to completion, this was a great team all around!

2022 Tennessee Concrete Association Best Architect/Engineer - Commercial Buildings Award, Presented to Community Tectonics Architects & Engineering Consultants for Bristol Tennessee City Schools new Tennessee Middle School (formerly Vance). As part of the award, our firm was also presented with a concrete bow tie which Don Shell is proudly wearing in these photos with long-time partner Bill Vinson.
