It's not every day that land surveying helps bring public radio back to the community, and we're glad to have played a part in the project. 🎶

While out on a 108-mile (yes, 108!!) mountain bike training ride 🚴‍♂️, our in-house Landscape Architect, Bart Lipinski, came across this hidden piece of history — a benchmark deep in the woods atop Carolina Hills in Marshfield, Massachusetts 🌲🗺️.

Always interesting what you can find when exploring the trails of the South Shore 🌄✨.

This Orleans perc test was a blast!

We kicked things off by removing a section of fencing just to make it to the backyard. Four holes 🕳️ later—two of them delving a dramatic 12 feet down ⏬ for official soils testing under the watchful eye of the Board of Health—we gathered the dirt (aka data) needed to design a bigger and better septic system for a future addition.

Onward and upward... ⬆️
