It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ralph “Blue Boy” Wayne Kniceley, a beloved father, husband, and friend. Ralph was born on July 8, 1946, in Richmond, VA, and sadly left this world on July 25, 2024, at his home in Glen Allen, VA. His adventurous spirit and kind heart touched the lives of many.
Ralph was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Olen Kniceley, and his mother, Anne Wingo Kniceley. He leaves behind his sister, Linda Hill and her husband, Tommy; his daughter, Kim Brueckmann and her husband, Todd; his son, Todd Kniceley and his wife, Dana; four grandchildren, Jordan Kniceley, Joey Kniceley, Jenna Kniceley, and Jimmy Shannon. Ralph also leaves behind his life-long friend, Peggy Collins; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his grand dog, Abbey.
He was a long-time member of Jennings Ordinary Hunting Club and his passion for hunting led him to travel to many different places, from the plains of South Africa to the mountains of Argentina, Bolivia, and Canada. After his hunting excursions, Ralph always made sure that any game that was caught was given to the local communities. When not traveling to other countries, he found joy the bright lights of Las Vegas, always ready for some fun and excitement. After his retirement, Ralph spent a lot of his time “hanging out with Kim and the guys” at the automotive shop that Kim and her husband Todd run. He leaves behind many cherished memories with his family and his presence will be deeply missed.
To honor Ralph’s memory, family and friends will be received at Bliley’s Funeral Home, 8510 Staples Mill Rd. Richmond, VA 23228, for visitation on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A service will be held at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, 12609 Patterson Ave. Richmond, VA 23238, on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, starting at 2:00 p.m.
