Backyard fire pit, above-ground pool, picnic table, hammock,outdoor seating, beach equipment shed, and outdoor shower included. Linens and towels service provided during peak months, and provided for $150 fee during off-season.

I host my extended family (parents, siblings, nieces, and nephews) every year for Memorial Day week at our cottages in the Outer Banks, and it's always the deepest pleasure to take my homegrown flowers with me to beautify the bedrooms and kitchen tables. Look at these peonies!! If only you could smell them!!! It will be a fragrant ride to the beach tomorrow!

It has to be pouring down rain for me to miss a sunrise at the beach. My son Logan LOVES fishing at Avalon Pier at sunrise and for hours beyond. The fishermen who come here daily are so friendly, and Logan loves the small, community feel, where everyone helps each other and offers encouragement . The last photo is this morning's view from our home, Serenity, in our small, quiet neighborhood, walking distance to the ocean.

Did you know that we have 2 vacation cottages for rent in the Outer Banks of North Carolina as well as Montgomery Inn at Ingleside in Prince Edward Island? Montgomery Inn at Ingleside We have been lovingly maintaining our two OBX homes for the past 15 years and are here now at Serenity to do some owner maintenance projects.

But alas, it has rained all day today, putting off our deck project, so looks like I have to spend it inside embroidering this beauty for PEI. What an incredible honor it is to steward all 3 of these beach destination properties! These are the moments I will treasure forever. For years and years, I prayed for all four of my children, and God answered my prayers and gave them to me in such beautiful, miraculous ways. I hope they always remember their sunrise walks to the sea with their mama.

Psalm 93:3–4
“The seas have lifted up, Lord, the seas have lifted up their voice; the seas have lifted up their pounding waves.
Mightier than the thunder of the great waters, mightier than the breakers of the sea—the Lord on high is mighty.”

I can't help but stand in awe of the heavens and the sea and my children that God has created when I snuggle them close as the sun peeks over the horizon.

Psalms 8:3-9
"When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. I am nothing but a tiny speck of dust in the vastness of this incredible universe that God has made, but I feel so unbelievably blessed to be able to witness a sunrise with my babies. Thank you, Lord, for these amazing gifts! May I never, ever take them for granted.
