Helped a buddy out that did some work for me. I helped him sort this build last year when he wanted to axle swap and talked him through the components to do JL Dana 44 axles with arb lockers. I built his steering for him and this week made a new ram assist mount and some sliders with kickers added to his boxed rocker panels. Felt good doing some fab work again and using my trusty little diy dimple press with dies.

is one of my favorite people. I had a “problem” and told him my idea. He said I got you boo(not exactly his words). He scanned a damaged fill cap and machined me a tool so that it’s never an issue again. See a need fill a need.

Walk around/recap before she got a bath and fresh tires to move around better so we can start going through post race checklist.

I would say the majority of people who follow us know the history starting from 2011 to now with the RC based business and our primary product line of aluminum panels for all things RC. Our second most popular line was for the 1:10 Bomber. I had multiple options for the car, owned a couple custom built cars and one that my son raced and was later sponsored as a junior driver by in 2016. We hear “that’s come full circle” but I’ve never lived it till I was fortunate enough to buy the 1:1 real deal Slawson Bomber in December of last year. CFM has sold the RC panels across the entire globe and distribution in Japan, Germany, and Australia……I never thought I would one day be doing it on the actual car, let alone racing it without a remote in hand. The “pinch me”factor just doesn’t seem to go away.

Senior year is wrapping up for and last night was the Sabine ISD banquet. She was recognized for her continued hard work and years of service. She was awarded several things along with two new buckles to round out her time in this amazing organization. The friends(now family) gained through her activities will last a lifetime and has shaped her future path and desire to stay connected and help the kids coming up. We were thinking last night about her accomplishments and that she is probably in rare air to have received the highest honors in Home Ec, Ag mechanics, and Livestock. This kid can literally do anything, the doors are all wide open.

God is good!
Secondly: this was not possible without and providing knowledge and pit support.

First time in the car for real seat time was prerun the day before the race. Never fully suited, never messed with GPS, no clue what the car or we are capable of. Prerun goes well and we get great notes.
Race day we head out and best our prerun top speed by almost 120mph and shave 12 minutes off the lap time for 1:42:00. We overtake out first car in the first hour and a second car twenty minutes later. We address some minor things at out and hit lap 2. I’m in my head and slower than should be but still manage 68mph top and lap time of 1:52:00. We have a flat, rear shock fading, and front third is loose and puking. Patched up from the amazing pit crew we roll out.
Lap 3 I’m focused again and get back up to 70mph top and best average of the day picking 5 minutes each in two different technical sections getting our lap time back down to 1:44:00
The video shows the end of lap three and almost losing it on one wheel and again almost washing out in the final big whoops coming into infield. 27 cars in pro and sportsman started. 10 finished. 1 truck class car finished…..3262!! First in class and third overall sportsman division.
put on an amazing race and can’t wait to get back out there in September and run Pro class.

Here's some Prerun video. Fun Fact: first time behind the wheel at any kind of speed. When I say we were new to this form of motorsports...it doesn't get any greener.
