A Store Full of Discovery.

Now this is a coffee grinder!

This impressive piece of history is an antique Enterprise Manufacturing Co. coffee mill, made in Philadelphia. Large cast-iron mills like this were built for serious grinding—using a hand crank and heavy flywheels to grind coffee beans long before today’s electric grinders became commonplace.

The Enterprise Manufacturing Company was a well-known American maker of cast-iron household and commercial equipment, producing everything from coffee mills to food-processing tools during the late 1800s and early 1900s.
