Got this Sissy bar all welded up, and now it's blending time..
A time consuming process of grinding down and shaping the welds with a variety of different pads on the die grinder and also the dynafile for tight areas!
I got all 4 tabs for the license plate blended seamlessly! Just gotta dig that super clean flow!!

Stoked!! 🤙 This sissy bar is made from 11/16" round stock, which is of course, special order and more pricey.. but the material finally arrived today, and I'm getting around to making the "swoops" for the seat mounts. Breaking out my inner blacksmith!! 😅 I gotta make 2 of these candy cane looking things, and cut out the arch only, then trim to size to fit the sissy bar. You need to start long with your material when heating and manipulating it. You need the extra leverage! Can't wait to see the sissy bar with the swoops tacked up!!

HOT DAMN!!😎🤙 The newly, relocated license plate housing came together flawlessly!!
I got the old existing mounting tabs, which held the license plate out from the sissy bar about a good inch or so.. thats not clean in my books!! So I gave it what she needed!!
Made up some small 1/2" thick tabs, with a drilled and tapped hole to match the screws provided! I dressed the tabs up a little.. and got everything tacked up tonight!
I cannot wait till the 11/16" steel round stock gets delivered, so I can start playing with the seat mount swoops! Gunna be a killer sissy bar!!

Crazy what a simple 45° chamfer can do to parts for a clean, slick look!! Got a new toy today, a handheld pneumatic chamfering tool with carbide insters for both 45° chamfer and a radius!
Little tricky to use on these dinker parts, but once I got it figured out, it went pretty smoothly! Definitely going to be a handy tool to have around!

These tabs are to mount this license plate bracket to the sissy bar. Going to be removing the existing tabs, cuz well, I didn't care for them, and thought of a much cleaner look, that the customer absolutely digged!! Going to be mounting the license plate bracket just above the fender, tight to the sissy bar, so it's nice and tucked in! Super clean!!
Also, if you haven't figured it out, the sharpie on the painters tape.. that is the design I'm going with for the sissy bar seat mounts... 😬👨‍🏭

Super stoked to announce my first customer for chopper fabrication! Customer wants me to fabricate better, cleaner looking seat mounts on the sissy bar. Instead of these aluminum flatbar "clamps"... Time to sit and stare, and let the ideas flow!!
In the future I'm going to start looking at fabricating custom motorcycle parts. One off parts that you can't find just anywhere, ranging from Sissy Bars, battery trays, oil tanks, handle bars.. you get the idea!
Keeping choppers clean, is what I like!😎🤙

👨‍🏭 I had to build a straightening bar for my porta power to assist it the straightening of these frames after welding caused them to warp.. and by golly it works great!!🤘

..little trick of the trade..👨‍🏭
When having to fabricate multiple of the same thing.. build one how you need it, and use that as your jig! Simply clamp scrap angle iron to the first one, slap your parts in and tack away! Consistency is key!!🤘

👨‍🏭 Custom fabricated a small brake attachment for my 2 ton arbor press! Thing works pretty damn slick!! Gotta start somewhere and this is able to bend 3/16" flatbar. Will be nice for small brackets and such!

Got the material for the next upcoming project staged and ready to be cut to size for the individual parts!👨‍🏭
These will end up being an 8ft and a 16ft lumber rack that will be a bolt-together assembly. Time for lots of cutting and drilling holes!!😬

Ahh... so much gooder than when it came into the shop.. wooden floors were rotten bad, and the Railing was extremely beat up. Started from scratch with the handrails and went with some grating for the floor! This platform turned out great!!👨‍🏭

When this platform came in the shop, the original Railing was beat up badly and some seams blew open from water getting in them and Freezing. The floor was old rotten hardwood and needed to be replaced.😬

Started off with making the frame work for floor grating to be welded too and a good start of the Railing!
I reinforced the frame by adding some 3" channel and tied it into the 6X3's with some gussets.
Also added some reinforcement plates around the side fork pockets to.. 1. Tie the frame to the channel iron, and 2. Added strength around pocket incase the fork tine would miss!
This platform is turning out great!!👨‍🏭

Super glad on how this custom, built to fit, cab door turned out on this Bobcat Skidloader! 👨‍🏭
Will definitely make using it in bad weather a little more enjoyable!
