We are starting to take orders for 2027 spring Nucs! This year we are doing it a bit different. We are planning to have 2 different pickup dates for our spring Nucs to better help the needs of our various customers.

All of our Nucs come with 5 frames of drawn comb, an accepted mated queen, and all the brood/eggs and bees your hive will need to grow into a successful colony.

All Nuc orders will require a $50 deposit per Nuc, we are requesting a deposit due to no shows/last minute cancellation last year.
Deposits can be paid via Venmo, cash app, check, or cash at the store.

The first pickup is for our Overwintered 5 frame Nucs and they will be available for pick the 2nd-3rd week of March. (Could be sooner depending on the weather)
Overwintered Nucs will grow rapidly and depending on management style can produce a harvestable amount of honey the first year.

The second pickup will be for our 2027 5 frame Nucs and they will be available for pickup the 2nd-3rd week of April.
2027 Nuc are just as strong as overwintered Nucs but typically do not produce a harvestable amount of honey the first year but they come with a new young queen.

Had a fellow beekeeper from Mt pisgah reach out and inform me they had yellow legged hornets preying on hives so check your bees and if you have any make sure to report it to Clemson

We will be at the Lancaster Tractor Supply Farmers market this Saturday Sept 12th!! I'll be running the store at the house and my wife will be set up selling honey and beeswax candles so make sure to stop by and see her!!

When you're avoiding the heat and just sitting inside make beeswax candles and the bees realize you haven't put your bee suit on today...

Small swarm from one of the 60 hives we have here at the house (had a mated queen and everything) just a perfect way to top off the evening... 😩

2026 is a weird year for sure.. some beeyard are practically starving and others are trying to produce a bonus honey crop.. I guess I'll put a couple supers on to see what happens
