Pictured is a large robotic waterjet stripping machine recently shipped, it's going to be a busy year for the waterjet product team. This machine is the first of 9 waterjet cleaning machines scheduled to ship in 2018. We are getting really close to crossing the milestone of 100 WJ cleaning machines delivered.

Recently an Aerospace OEM Gear Manufacturer visited Progressive for the Factory Acceptance Testing of a new, Robotic Shot Peen system. This new machine was custom designed for process repeatability and flexibility due to the large range of gear types. Some of the features are; articulated arm robot nozzle control, dual work stations, each with rollers and vertical spindle. Process repeatability is ensured with closed loop media and air pressure control plus the integral ShotMeter velocity sensor. The machine HMI is Progressive’s industry leading PRIMS Pro.

This custom designed robotic shot peener is commissioned to peen aircraft gears in a high production environment, and due to the variety of gear types, the system has two methods of fixturing the gears.

HOW MANY HOURS DO YOU HAVE ON YOUR GRIT BLAST MACHINE? At Progressive we think we build some of the most robust abrasive grit blasting machines in the market. We have living proof of that in our Job Shop. Here we have one of our continuous rotary blasting machines, a machine originally shipped to one of our aerospace customers. That customer closed it's plant and the machine was surplussed. It eventually found its way to another supplier to the aerospace industry where it was again surplussed. We bought back the machine 10 years ago and it has been running strong ever since. Originally built in 1992 this machine has accumulated more then 28,000 hours of blasting time!! Pretty amazing for this harsh process. Anyone have a machine with more blasting hours??

We just successfully completed the factory acceptance tests for the automated shot blasting cell. Forged automotive suspension components were automatically loaded and unloaded from one of our robust shot blasting systems to remove contaminants and scale prior to inspection and machining. Progressive designed, built and programmed all aspects of this high volume automated production cell. Stay tuned...and check back we will be posting a video shortly.

This custom designed shot blast machine utilizes nozzles on the tube OD, and lances on the ID. Our landmark is back!! A summer storm knocked down the 40 ft flag pole that marked our customer entrance. For years we used this flag pole to help guide visiting customers to our front door. It’s nice to see “Old Glory” flying again. We can’t say the same for all of those snowflakes that are also flying again.
