Independent business specializing in many kinds of excavating and construction. We are also an agricultural business raising corn, soybeans, and wheat.
The Crates Family purchased our present location in 1949. Henry and Florence Crates farmed this land from 1949 until 1967. In 1967, their son John Roger Crates took over the farming operation and continued to farm and raise hogs. In 1972, Roger purchased his first bulldozer in order to clear fence rows and do tile maintenance around the farm. The need for additional excavating services in this area allowed him to purchase more equipment, hire employees, and provide more services.
