This was one not-so-simple bore at a location we’ll just call…classified 🤫

The contractor couldn't figure out how to navigate changing ground elevations while staying as flat as possible. That was critical because the drill head had to hit a 6-inch knockout hole at exactly dead-center inside an 8-foot-deep manhole. There was no room for “close enough.”

The knockout couldn’t be dug up from the outside and couldn’t be seen from above, so they really needed a plan they could trust.

Enter Territory Manager TerryTrak Crosier with his trusted TeraTrak R1! 🦸‍♂️ Using the R1, Terry helped the contractor create a precise bore plan that mapped the terrain down to the inch and gave the crew step-by-step instructions for how to make the shot.

And the crew nailed their target in just a few hours. 🎯

After yesterday’s shot ARES decided it needed some more street cred

Utilities LLC got this shot locked up. Literally—considering it was at the Franklin County Correctional Center.

The prison is undergoing major renovations, and CST was brought in to install backup power.

The 250-foot bore passed nearly 25 feet beneath the prison, below a tunnel used to transport inmates.

And there was interference EVERYWHERE: they were essentially in a rebar-infested concrete box, with utilities running along the walls and overhead. Near the entry pit were EV charging stations. Near the exit were a sewer main, gas lines and additional electrical lines.

Luckily, Territory Manager Spray was able to bring in the ARES last minute, and with its automatic selection and SuperCore transmitter, the crew was able to roll sequence between two powerful bands and lock this one away. 🔐💪

👉 The SuperCore transmitter is only compatible with DCI's proprietary SuperCell-R *RECHARGEABLE* battery. This is NOT the silver SuperCell battery.
