After years of installing hundreds of garage floors and helping contractors start their own businesses, I’ve learned one thing:

Success isn’t about having the fanciest equipment—it’s about doing the right things in the right order.

Here’s exactly what I’d focus on:

1️⃣ Learn how to sell first.
The best installer in town won’t stay busy if they can’t close jobs.

2️⃣ Master one coating system.
Don’t try to learn everything at once. Become known for doing one system exceptionally well.

3️⃣ Build a simple website.
People need to trust you before they call. A clean website with photos, reviews, and contact information goes a long way.

4️⃣ Film every single job.
Your best marketing is the work you already do. Before-and-after videos and jobsite content build trust and bring in future customers.
