A lot can change in eight years, but strong relationships have a way of bringing you back.

Travys Woodside, Mark Kjar, and I recently returned to Indonesia, where one of our stops was PT Cerestar's facility in Gresik. This site has some history for Chief Agri. In 2018, it was featured on the cover of World Grain magazine, and it was great to stand there again and see the facility today.

Our trip also took us to Jakarta to spend time with the team at PT JAPFA, discuss their current orders, and continue building on the relationship we've developed with them.

We also had the opportunity to recognize our local representative, PT GSS. Congratulations to Mikah Wetan and the team on earning Runner-Up International Sales Representative and recognition for more than $1 million in sales.

After nearly 30 years with Chief Agri, trips like this remind me how much of international business is built over time. Projects may be what first bring us together, but relationships are what keep us coming back.

I also want to recognize our team back home, especially the people in our factories. Their dedication and pride in the equipment we build play an important part in keeping the Chief name among the best in the industry. I’m proud to represent their work wherever we go.

Thank you to PT Cerestar, PT JAPFA, PT GSS, and everyone who spent time with us during our visit. It was good to be back in Indonesia.

A little extra diameter can make a big difference.

This 92'-10" diameter × 23-ring Chief bin is going up at Glacial Plains Co-op in Milan, Minnesota, with EDM Design and Millwright handling the project.

At the same eave height, that extra 2'-10" of diameter provides approximately 40,000 more bushels of storage compared to a 90' diameter bin.

And this one is built for more than capacity. It’s designed for a 100,000 lb. peak load in a 50 PSF snow zone. That’s a lot of bin carrying a lot of load.

Next up, getting ready to fly the bridge into place.

📍 Project Snapshot

Glacial Plains Co-op | Milan, Minnesota

• Chief CB30-23
• 92'-10" diameter × 23 rings
• 100,000 lb. peak load
• 50 PSF snow zone
• Approximately 40,000 additional bushels compared to a 90' diameter bin at the same eave height

More capacity. More value. That simple.

Well, I think I’ve finally cooled off. 😂

Farm Progress was a hot one this year, but I couldn’t have asked for a better first show to have under my belt.

I really enjoyed catching up with dealers, customers and friends throughout the week, meeting some new faces, and of course, talking plenty of grain storage.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by the Chief lot. It was great seeing so many familiar faces out there and getting to spend some time together.

First Farm Progress in the books. Good people, good conversations and one seriously hot week. 😅🌽

Things are moving along at Donovan Coop in Martinton, Illinois.

The 30-30 is taking shape, along with the 20,000 BPH pit conveyor, 15,000 BPH reclaim conveyor, 165-foot 20,000 BPH leg, and tower.

A lot of good people working together on this one.

Cole Gordon and the crew at Gordon Millwright Service, LLC handling the millwright work, Stan Boyce and Edelman Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, Electric & Solar on the electrical, and Global Bin Builders on the bin jacking.

Good progress. More to come.

Husker Harvest Days has a lot to see. We recommend starting with the All American Farm at Lot 846.

We can’t help with the forecast.
We can help with your grain storage. Booth 915.

When it comes to grain handling, bigger isn't always better.

Properly sized equipment helps support consistent throughput and reliable operation—two priorities for ethanol facilities running around the clock.
