Decided to take advantage of the cooler weather…
No, not really. It was still 107* in the shop but there was work to be done. Finished hanging the plywood for the exterior walls of the 2 rooms and bathroom, smoothed the seams and painted it all. Much better. Baby steps, but I’ll take them. James C Austin Combs

More baby steps. Clean engine room getting close to being “done”. Floors and base trim done, ceiling fan mounted, moved some shelves, a steel cabinet, and the new _husky_tools_ tool box specifically for engine tools into the room. Going to hang a small TV and some hex peg board I 3d printed on the walls, then time to organize and start building engines again. Well, after I hang and trim out the door. 🤣

Decided to get a little bougie on the shop. Already had the guys at add lights to the house, and we loved the look so much decided we needed them on the shop too. Infinite color choices, preloaded lighting schemes for any holiday or event, etc. Can’t wait to hit the red, white and blue for the upcoming holiday. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

One thing about L5P Duramax trucks (2024 GMC Sierra 2500 in this case) is the oil filter is severely lacking. It takes a PF63, which is tiny. Same filter the small LT GM trucks take. Can’t just swap on a biggie oil filter either, since the aux water pump is in the way. Thankfully has a kit to move the pump away, allowing you to use their massive 114000750 filter. THIS is what your L5P needs!
