Silver Lady Restorations is looking for Vintage Airstream Restoration Technicians.
Location: Lawton, OK
Job Type: Full-time and Part-Time - $22-45 per hour depending on experience. We will cross-train the right candidates.
About Us
For many years, Silver Lady Restorations has built a reputation for perfection, restoring iconic vintage Airstreams and other rare trailers exclusively for The Gulley Museum Collection and other historical societies.
Now, we are expanding and opening our workshop doors to the public. We take deteriorating pieces of American history and turn them into flawless, historically accurate masterpieces.
We don't do quick fixes or assembly-line work. We do meticulous, legacy-grade craftsmanship. If you are a perfectionist who takes immense pride in your trade, we want you on our team.
Position Overview
We are seeking skilled Restoration Technicians with a diverse mechanical or fabrication background. In this role, you won't just be swapping out parts—you will be custom-building, restoring, and engineering systems from the frame up.
What You’ll Do
⁃ Metalwork & Fabrication: Perform precision aluminum sheet metal repairs, buck-riveting, structural frame welding, and high-end exterior bodywork.
⁃ Carpentry & Finish Work: Build and install custom-fit cabinetry, lightweight wood framing, and back-to-original interior finishes inside curved aluminum shells.
⁃ Historical Problem Solving: Diagnose vintage structural issues (like floor rot or frame sag) and implement archival-grade repairs.
What We’re Looking For
⁃ Proven Trades Experience: Background in specialized fields such as auto restoration, aircraft sheet metal/riveting, custom cabinetry, or marine/yacht carpentry.
⁃ The "Perfectionist" Eye: A passion for flawless details, straight lines, and clean wiring. Museum-quality work requires patience and precision.
⁃ Problem Solvers: Vintage trailers rarely have straight angles. You must be comfortable troubleshooting unique spatial and mechanical challenges.
⁃ Team Players: Willingness to collaborate, learn specialized vintage restoration techniques, and maintain a clean, organized shop environment.
