Air Cooled VW stroker engine brought in to see why its locked up. We got it free and found the crank .020 under on rods & mains and the builder used .010 under rod & main bearings.
Crank is now worn weird and rods are out of round.

Air Cooled VW tin powdercoated as the white painted tin had gotten chipped up pretty bad

Air Cooled VW long block brought in for inspection as the flywheel wouldn't turn easy.
The customer recently had this "rebuilt" for his bus.
Top half of case was cleaned and painted, jb weld patch to cover porosity in case above #3 cylinder.
New heads installed on used pistons. New cam installed with used lifters. The case was not even clean out so old sludge was in sump. O-rings, seals were new and plyable, there was still Lubraplate grease on the #4 bearing so little or new run time after new cam install. 2 flywheel shims were installed. Total write off other than heads

62 Beetle project. Wiring up turn signals, starter, repaired broken wires, link pin assembly, master cylinder installed and tightening up various brake hardware on the rear, some was tight some was loose must have been a squirrel running by during the installation and was forgotten about. Pretty dangerous really but its all getting straightened out
