Tonight, thanks to the generosity of Union Pacific Railroad and a special "Gift to the Cheney Community," admission to the Cheney Aquatic Center is FREE from 5:30–8:30 p.m.

The story behind the gift is what makes it so special. A local family chose to anonymously support the Aquatic Center to help keep it affordable and accessible for everyone. Instead of having their name on the building, they asked that it simply read "A Gift to the Cheney Community."

It's a beautiful reminder of the generosity, kindness, and community spirit that make Cheney, and the Cheney Aquatic Center, such a special place. We hope you'll join us tonight to celebrate!

Juneteenth reminds us that freedom is both what was won and what we continue to build.

For generations, Black communities have faced barriers to access to pools, swimming lessons, and water safety education. Those barriers helped create disparities that still exist today.

That's why every water safety event, swim lesson, and community partnership matters.

This Juneteenth, we honor the resilience of those who fought for freedom by expanding access to life-saving aquatic opportunities for the next generation.

Through water safety, we help create safer communities, greater confidence, and more opportunities to thrive.
