Kansas City Testing & Engineering, LLC (KCTE) was founded in October, 2009 as a woman-owned engineering consulting firm located in Kansas City, Kansas. KCTE is a State of Kansas Certified DBE/WBE (Disadvanted Business Enterprise/Woman Business Enterprise. KCTE is proud to have brought back the historical name of Kansas City Testing to the local area. The history of our office dates to 1894 when it

was founded as Kansas City Testing Laboratory. KCTE offers Construction Materials Engineering and Testing, Geotechnical Engineering, Drilling, and Environmental Consulting services to a wide range of government, municipal, public and private clients. We provide a broad range of integrated services that enable us to take a project from initial exploration through successful design and construction. As consultants, we assist our clients in defining problems and developing innovative, cost-effective, and environmentally sound solutions. KCTE’s project types include hospitality, retail, parking garages, multi-level structures, and large site development. Our team members average 19 years of experience working on projects in the Kansas City area. Technicians are certified by ACI, NICET, ICC, AWS, KDOT, and other agencies. They are also certified and trained to operate a nuclear densometer. Field testing is performed using ASTM, AASHTO and other applicable specifications and guidelines. Additionally, our laboratory is accredited by AASHTO and the U.S.
