🚨The Summer Rush Is Real🚨

Every erosion control supplier experiences increased demand in June and July as construction projects start across the region. Lead times can stretch if you wait until the last minute.

Calculate Your Season Needs: Look at your project pipeline for the next 2-3 months. How many sites will need erosion control? What quantities of silt sock will those projects require? Order enough material to cover multiple projects so you're not placing separate orders for every site. Having inventory on hand means you can mobilize quickly when sites are ready.

Contact us at 816-506-4131 for wholesale inquiries. Let us show you how much time and money you can save with erosion control that actually lasts.

Get the Right Size for Your Site!🏗️

We manufacture 8", 12", and 18" silt socks to match your application needs. Larger socks for higher flow areas, smaller socks for basic perimeter control.

Can't decide? Describe your site conditions and we'll recommend the appropriate size. We'd rather have you succeed with the right product than oversell you on an unnecessarily large sock or undersell you on a sock that won't handle your conditions.

Kansas City Biochar is honored to support Operation Breakthrough by providing biochar for their community garden. 🌱

Operation Breakthrough has been a cornerstone of Kansas City for decades—serving children and families with early education, meals, health services, and a safe place to grow and thrive. Their garden is more than a garden; it’s a hands-on space where children learn about food, nutrition, and caring for the earth.

By enriching the soil with biochar, we’re helping grow healthier plants and more nutritious food for the families they serve. Healthy soil leads to healthy food, and healthy food supports strong communities. Operation Breakthrough’s impact has been recognized across Kansas City and beyond, reminding the world how generous and connected the Kansas City community can be.

We are proud to play a small role in supporting an organization doing such powerful work for our city’s children and families.🌎

🌱 Biochar for All! 🌱

Kansas City Biochar was proud to donate biochar to Ivanhoe Community Garden to help enrich their soil and support the growth of healthy, nutritious food.

Access to fresh food matters — especially in areas of our city considered food deserts. By improving soil health, we’re investing in stronger harvests, stronger communities, and greater food equity.

Here’s to growing healthier food and a healthier Kansas City together. 🌎💚

KC Biochar is proud to support neighboring nonprofits through their community gardens. This week we’re highlighting Journey to New Life, one of Kansas City's best reentry program assisting men and women reentering society after incarceration. Thanks to the power of biochar, their garden is thriving—creating new opportunities for growth, nourishment, and community. 🌱

The connection between reentry and biochar is powerful. Biochar restores depleted soil, helping new life take root and flourish. In the same way, reentry programs restore hope, stability, and purpose—creating the conditions for people to rebuild their lives and grow.

Together, we’re cultivating second chances from the ground up.

If you're still using silt fence for sediment control, it's time to discover a better way.

Kansas City Silt Sock manufactures compost filter sock that outperforms traditional silt fence in every meaningful way. Yes, there's a slightly higher upfront cost. But when you factor in installation time, maintenance, and effectiveness, silt sock is the clear winner.

Our compost filter sock sits on the ground and stays there. No trenching required. No burying. No falling over. Once you set it down and stake it, you're done. Your crew can focus on actual construction work instead of playing nursemaid to failing erosion control measures.

Tired of having constant repairs on fallen silt fences?

We get it. Traditional sediment control solutions often fail on rough terrain, slopes, and high-traffic sites eating up your time and budget.

Unlike silt fences that fall over or biologs that tear, our silt socks last 2+ years made with properly composted filter media, not cheap wood chips. Install once, focus on production, not repairs.

Ready for hassle-free erosion control? Contact us today for volume pricing or project consultations.
