One of the children had completely fallen off.
There were cracks throughout the bronze.
A couple of hands were broken.

This 7 ½ ft wide 4 ft tall yard sculpture represents our customer’s children when they were young.

He came into our shop and asked, “Can you fix it?”

At K & S Welding in Kankakee, IL — we love challenges like this.

We carefully reattached the child, rebuilt the broken hands, repaired the cracks, and reinforced the structure while preserving the original character.

It’s not just metal.
It’s memories.

“Can’t be fixed.”
We hear that more often than you’d think.

A customer brought us their 2018 Ram with running boards that were assumed to need full replacement. Instead of replacing the entire set, we repaired and reinforced them — saving them significant costs while restoring them solid again.

Dear friends,
As we embrace the spirit of giving this season, we are reaching out for your support. Santa needs our help! With just 3 days left, we still have well over 50 wonderful seniors awaiting some joy from the Senior Secret Santa tree. Their wish lists are filled with simple yet heartfelt items that can bring a smile to their faces.
Here are the items they would love to receive:
- Pop and snacks
- Lip balm or chapstick
- Lap or twin bed blankets
- Year-round wall hangings or window decorations (non-holiday)
- Regular and non-slip socks
- Winter hats, gloves, and scarves
- Hygiene products (Dollar Tree items are perfect)

- Adult coloring books with crayons or colored pencils
