How it started
The love for bees has been in the family for generations now. It all started with Otto’s grandfather Ben. Ben got Otto interested in beekeeping back in the 60’s. Otto always keep bees his whole life and about 30 years later his son Patrick became interested in the dieing art of keeping bees. Patrick too, took to the enjoyment of beekeeping. After he finished college and moved back to the small town of Jourdanton, Otto and Patrick decided to start getting into bees a little more heavily. They started by doing live honey bee removals and before they knew it, they had already built up to carring for over 50 colonies of bees. They later bought out a retiring beekeepers equipment and tuss Rakowitz Honey Farm was started.
Now, both Otto and Patrick have the joys of sharing their knowledge with the 3rd generation of beekeepers, Ace and Hailey.
