We take this moment to recognize Battalion Chief Leif Hasty for successfully completing the Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) certification.

He has met all the requirements and passed the testing to be recognized as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) on a national level. This included at least 285 hours of lecture, lab, clinical, and field training.

AEMTs function as part of a comprehensive EMS response, under medical oversight. AEMTs perform interventions with the basic and advanced equipment typically found on an ambulance.

This represents a significant advancement in improving our agency's EMS capabilities! Thank you, sir, and excellent job!
