Reached a very large milestone this past week, as we were able to pay off our building after 10 years. It wouldn’t have been possible without the help, kindness, and mentoring we were afforded by this fine gentleman Bob Foust.
Bob sold us the building on land contract back in 2015, which was a great break for a start up company. We then spent a lot of years struggling, and couldn’t always make our monthly payment on time. Bob always had a tremendous amount of grace and words of encouragement as we went along. At one point saying “Just keep going, and pay me when you can. I just want to see the building being used and jobs in the community”
Our original deal was a 5 year land contract, with a lump sum payoff of the balance at the end of 5 years. Problem was 5 years hit right at the beginning of Covid, and we weren’t running a profitable business yet. So it was going to be hard to get financed, or come up with the cash to pay him off. Once again Bob came through, extending our deal for 5 more years of land contract payments which was a huge relief and let us continue to focus on the day to day business.
All leading to this photo on Friday afternoon where I was able to give him the final check and pay off the building for good. We all thank you so much for your kindness and generosity Bob, it will never be forgotten. We will do our best to keep jobs in the community for a long time.
